I’m a New England-based magazine writer. My work has appeared in Alta Journal, GQ, National Geographic, Scientific American, Smithsonian, Nautilus, Seattle Met, The Seattle Times, Undark, and Boston, as well as “best of” lists compiled by Longreads, The Sunday Long Read, and Pocket. I’m the former features editor for Seattle Met magazine, where longform stories I wrote and edited won awards from the National City and Regional Magazine Association and Society of Professional Journalists Northwest.
